About the Event
ELM Foundation along with Family Dance Brooklyn invites you our new fall class Kids On Decks.Â
Ages 8 and up!Â
The first 3 classes will be taught by DJ Ali Colemen from Family Dance Brooklyn. He will guide you around our new Pioneer Rev1 decks using Serato DJ software.Â
The last 3 classs will be taught by Derrick Braxton, a record producer and composer from New Brunswick, NJ. Derrick will give you the ins and outs of Serato Studio leading you to build your own beats and learn music production.Â
At the end of the class we will celabrate with a dance party where friends and family can dance the day away as you show off your new DJ skills.

Day 1 - Saturday, Oct 1st 1-3 pm
*Special invitation to join an after class event*    One of our partner non profits, Building Beats will be doing their youth showcase later that day at ELM from  3 - 6 pm. We invite you and your family to stay and get inspired! More Info

REGISTRATION
Class size is limited to 10 to allow more hands on decks!Â
Due to the amount of interest and limited space in the class we ask that your child is committed to attending all of the classes. Please check your calendars and verify the dates work. Â While we do understand things come up, please let us know in advance if you must miss class and we will do our best to schedule make up time so that they do not fall behind on the lessons.
ELM Foundation is dedicated to free arts education, however to show your commitment and secure your space in the class we ask for a $20 registration fee. Â Once your child has completed the course they will receive a gift in the end of equal or grater value.
We are a young and growing 501c3 non profit, being such we depend on our community for support to keep our programming running while providing quality education with dedicated art instructors. Â Our students vary in socio-economic backgrounds and our goal is to make arts education free to all youth. If your family is in a position to make an additional donation we would accept it with great appreciation. Â Donations are tax deductible and 100% goes to sustain the continuation of our class programming.
