About the Event
Join artist Sonia Rosa Kahn for MAGIC SHADOWS, a hands-on Steam Works workshop for kids and families at The Boiler!
Sonia, whose exhibition Hereditaments is currently on view at The Boiler, will take us back to the magical world of Magic Lantern shows, where light, shadow, and projected images became a form of storytelling.
Kids will get to draw and experiment directly onto 35mm slides, then bring their creations to life using an overhead projector. Play with color, transparency, texture, shadows, and light, and see what happens when your artwork starts moving!
Saturday, September 19th
2–4 PM
