About the Event

FREE WORKSHOP

In our upcoming Steam Works series, exhibiting artist William Norton will lead a painting workshop informed by his studio process using non-traditional materials. Norton will introduce a grid technique commonly employed in developing large-scale works. Students will then work collaboratively to create their own monumental painting on refurbished vinyl.

Join us 3-5 pm on April 1st, 8th, or both days!

Attendees are recommended to wear clothing and shoes that will look good with any accidental drips and splatters of paint as we will be using acrylic paint in this workshop.

Committed to our philosophy of Art Community Empowering Community Arts, Steam Works provides students the opportunity to learn directly from each artist that exhibits in The Boiler. By focusing on the specialty, media, or discipline of participating artists, we hope to inspire the next generation of artists and creatives through free workshops and classes. With each unique experience, we strive to promote the transformative power of art.
