Bibliography

Born and raised in New York City, Emma Fujiko Hammond-Thomas received her BFA from Bard College in 2011. She received her MFA in printmaking from Columbia University in 2018. Emma currently documents relationships of a diverse group of individuals, preserving their gestures as a memory or portrait. Through printmaking and sculpture she seeks to create a new form of figurative sculpture that subverts the societal norms and expectations with regard to the body and behavior.
